Principal's Message
Dear Blades’ Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!
We are so excited to welcome the youngest Bluejays to our school! Our staff is ready to work with families to make this year a big success!
Blades Elementary was nationally recognized as a 2021 ESEA National Distinguished School. This award was received due to the hard work and dedication of the students and staff at our school.
Our Bookworms reading curriculum and Illustrative Math curriculum serve as a cornerstone of our work at Blades. We work collaboratively to ensure that ALL students’ needs are met academically, socially, and emotionally. Our students participate in daily morning meetings, where they learn school rules, routines, and celebrate classroom accomplishments.
Each of our students and staff are sorted into a house. Houses are cross-grade level groupings, which meet throughout the year. Houses allow students to connect with other students and staff members in our school. We often hold house meetings, celebrations and competitions! Our house system promotes a sense of belonging and well-being for our students!
Please feel free to contact me by email at [email protected] or by phone at 302-628-4416. You can also receive up to date information by following Blades Elementary on Facebook.
We look forward to another great year!
